OTF Performance Coaching founder and the head coach of Texas Blaze Gold 16U, Brett Berryhill, has one vocational purpose…to help student-athletes realize their potential in order to achieve their dreams. 

 

His journey began as an athlete himself when he was recruited to play baseball in college. Unfortunately, Brett found out the hard way how a lack of off-the-field skills can hurt your on-the-field performance and experience. Brett struggled with the crucial skills that are so important for succeeding at the next level which he now attributes to limiting his success during his college playing career.

After college Brett became a learning and development specialist for a fortune 500 company for over 20 years. During his two decades in the learning industry, Brett became an expert in areas like leadership development, leadership coaching, dynamic communication, strengths and weaknesses, self-awareness, how to develop others, productive thought processes, and mindset coaching. If only he knew then what he knows now.

On a new journey, Brett has now redirected those skills to help student-athletes with those same crucial mental performance skills that he lacked as a student-athlete himself. The fact of the matter is, the skills needed to excel at the next level are more mental than physical. Brett likes to say that your physical capabilities will get you to the next level but your mental capabilities will keep you there. 

 

Brett is also one of the most sought-after hitting instructors in central Texas operating out of the Texas Hit Lab in Leander, TX. He loves working with hitters one on one with timing, mechanics, swing path, and approach to be the best version of themselves in the box so all that hard work in the cage translates to the field.
